East Texas Fall
October 17-19 is the next date of my continuing monthly workshops at my
studio. The fee is $395 for all three days and a maximum of twelve
students will be accepted. To reserve a spot, a partial deposit is not
required. Instead the full $395 should be sent. If the workshop does
not make your entire check will be returned. A material list and
directions to my studio will be sent when you sign up.
We will discuss the simple yet essential concept of being able to mix
any color the eye sees with a simplified palette.
Also how to get an accurate start or foundation for the painting to
build on and to capture a moment in time, with the feeling of light and
air in a painting.
I use a limited primary palette and I will show you the simple four
steps to logically think through this mixing process from just Red,
Blue and Yellow.
Many other topics will also be discussed.
We have a B&B/Artist Retreat here where out of town students can stay
during the workshop for a reduced fee. Room availability is first come,
first serve as our rooms usually fill up quickly. We have five bedrooms
each with a private bath and we can sleep two to a room or you may have
a private room. The fee for lodging here is $100 per student, per
night. If two people share a room it is $90 per person, per night.
These room fees also include breakfast and lunch each day and
complimentary wine in the evening after class.
The lodging fee can be added to your workshop fee or you can pay for
your lodging after you arrive. Call or email me if you would like to
combine the lodging and workshop fees together for a final total.
These workshops are all inclusive with all meals except in the evening
and everyone enjoys Stacey's cooking, but you are always welcome to
bring your favorite snacks or drinks if you like.
There are restaurants in town close by for your evening meal.
