"I want the viewer of my paintings to feel as though they are sharing a moment in time with the artist. Therefore, I am most interested in capturing the actual color and value relationships that are present in the scene."
"I’ve studied with several well known artists, but I think I have learned the most by painting from life as much as possible and seeking out works of the best painters, both past and present, to study."
